Web Systems

Advanced Web systems Development is open to both all prospective students and computing professionals with interest in the Informatics Technology field and with a bias to Web design. The modules covered include: Cascading Style sheets a simple design language for web programming, Extensible Markup Language (XML), that helps one to define data structures, make these structures platform independent, process XML defined data automatically and define tags, Java-Script scripting language to build interactive websites. Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX), Databases-Structured Query Language (Mysql-Mssql) a relational database management system (RDMS), Free SQL (Structured Query Language) database server, PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) a powerful tool for making dynamic and interactive Web pages and advanced understanding of Content Management Systems . At the end of the course each student is asked to present a standard web system application geared towards automation of existing manual tasks.
