The Professional Skills Department (PSD), E-Learning Centre and the Department of Innovations and Software Development (DISD) have been merged to form the Centre of Innovations and Professional Skills Development (CiPSD). The new Centre, which will begin operation in January, 2012 will focus on accelerating students to jobs, ideas to solutions and solutions to business.
According to Mr. Drake Patrick Mirembe, the new head of the CiPSD, the Centre will be operated as an integral part of the College in which the Centre recovers her operational costs from her revenue and the balance is integrated in the College budget to support College activities.
The operationalisation of this Centre is aimed at ensuring the optimal utilization of resources particularly learning space and human resources, expanding the revenue base, improving the management of the units, spearheading innovations and services like the delivery of professional courses through the E-learning Centre and managing overlapping activities like recess term and internship between PSD and DISD.
CiPSD Vision:
To be a leader in professional skills training, innovations, research and services internationally.
