ICT for Development & Education Research Group


Introduction:
The aim of the ICT for development and Education Research Group is to investigate ways to apply ICT to develop/provide innovative solutions to development and education in developing countries.  

The research areas being pursued draw on the Group’s expertise in e-learning and e-development. Areas of interest include but are not limited to:

- ICT for education
-E-learning
- ICT & Law
- ICT & Agriculture
- ICT & Women
- ICT for rural development
- E-governance
- E-health
- Mobile learning
- Mobile health

Activities

- Research seminars  (every Tuesday at 10.00 a.m. in the CIT Conference room)  to share research being done by different members
- Identify common interests and work on joint research proposals and publications
- Identify industry partners and  together work on research projects to provide solutions to existing industry/community problems

Expected outputs

- Innovative Research Projects geared towards solving real life problems particularly those affecting developing countries
- Masters and PhD research projects
- Scientific publications in referred journals, proceedings and books.
